I teach seventh graders ELA, and with 23 years of teaching under my belt, students have not liked poetry for a variety of reasons. We recommend the membership for middle and early high school English language arts teachers, ideally for those who are teaching ELA to grades 6-10.
Absolutely! When you join, you will get instant access to all past, current, and future resources made by Presto Plans. While many other memberships release a new monthly bundle, Presto Planners do not have to wait. They can immediately jump in and start using the thousands of pages and slides of English teacher resources! The best part is that your library will continue growing with new resources, programs, or units that we create, and members always get first and early access. As long as you are a member, you'll have access to everything new I create. We also regularly update and improve materials, so as a member you'll always have access to the most current and up-to-date resources.
The membership resources are primarily in PDF and PowerPoint format, but we also have an extensive digital section in our library with lots of Google-compatible digital resources. When new resources are added, they will always be uploaded in both print format and digital format (when it makes sense to do so). I am dedicated to supporting members with digital resources in the case that they are teaching in a 1:1 school or are required to provide materials for at-home learning.
Our resources have been designed to primarily meet the Common Core State Standards, but the materials in the library address so many ELA concepts and skills that we are confident that no matter what ELA curriculum you are using, there will be a great deal of resources to meet your standards. ELA teachers who purchase items from Presto Plans come from all over the world, so you can be confident that there are many resources included that will align with your ELA curriculum standards. An integral part of our resource creation process is ensuring that our materials are rigorous, engaging, and standards-aligned.
As a member, you are provided a license to use all of Presto Plans’ resources in your classroom. This means that when you cancel, you legally lose access to all of the resources in the membership as well as any licensing rights to items you had downloaded previously. This means former members are not legally permitted to use those resources their your classroom unless they reactivate their membership.
For both the monthly and the annual membership, members can cancel before their renewal date, but I am confident that when you see the resources included, the community of teachers you will be a part of, and the new items added regularly, you will not even consider cancelling. 😊
